I’m Ahamed Iqbal, an Earth based human being

What I believe

My brain is hard to turn off, I’m always analyzing things and trying to figure out how they can be better. I love learning about new things and thinking about how I can apply what I already know to bring together different ideas and concepts to make something unique and uniquely useful.

Not every one of my ideas is great but like anyone who aims to be great, I don’t stop creating. And with 42 years (and counting) of experience, a genuine passion for learning, connecting with people, and an often alarming amount of energy I’m confident I can make you a good to great idea.

Background

I’m the little guy ↑ in the middle

  • I was born in very south India (Tamil Nadu, close to Sri Lanka) to two extremely loving and wonderful people, my Mom and Dad.

  • They were both teachers when they met and they’ve always instilled a love of learning and helping others in me and my older brother.

  • My Dad moved from teaching into Chemistry and had a long and successful career as a Molecular Chemist and received multiple patents for his work.

  • My Mom also found a career in the sciences and worked in medical research.

  • We moved to the United States when I was 3 years old (my brother was 5).

  • We started in Birmingham, Alabama and spent most of time in Philadelphia and its suburbs.

  • I’ve always aspired to be a blend of my Dad’s wide range of interests and knowledge (fixing electronics, carpentry, computers, investing and photography among others) and my Mom’s and appreciation of the arts, cooking and sports.

  • Both of my parents and my brother encouraged and celebrated my ideas and artistic creations and they continue to inspire me to this day.

  • I am a successful graduate of high school (Great Valley School District), College (Temple University) and Law School (1st year at Santa Clara University, 2nd and 3rd at Penn State Dickinson)

  • I have also lived in France (Paris), Washington state and currently live in Maryland
