Road Rage Ethics

A video where the narrator discusses proper road rage behavior. Made in the style of a modern airplane safety video.

Some examples:

  • System/framework for developing insults based on the age, make/model of their vehicle

  • Avoid attacking things that they can’t control (age, race, etc.) but their clothing, hair cut are fair game

  • Stickers and decals are a great opportunity- just repeat it in a questioning tone or ask if that’s truly the most important thing in their life that they need to tell the world about.

  • Remember profanity is a seasoning, not the main course

  • If you’re going to flip someone off go all the way, a half effort middle finger is worse than no middle finger

  • Confusion is a very powerful weapon. Pretend you’re from the future, speak a foreign language (doesn’t need to be a real one) or angrily yell a compliment. Don’t give them what they expect

  • You can rage against anyone- just assume the consequences because they tend to go up with certain people

  • Make sure you’re foot is firmly on the brake, you don’t want road rage to turn into a collision

  • Educate yourself and stay current- the worst thing you can do is have them not understand your insult

  • If you’re losing- accept defeat- smile genuinely and say you win this round (this will probably bother them more than just driving off upset)
